Windows Phone Tango is a WP update that will lower system requirements for manufacturers, which means that Microsoft is looking to target the developing market with lower-end and more affordably priced Windows Phone handsets. Now some are probably wondering with the lower-requirements, what will happen to some apps and some features of Windows Phone that may require a slightly faster processor or more RAM in order to function as intended?

Well today Microsoft has officially acknowledged those limitations and has since updated their Windows Phone support pages to describe some of those limitations. In the pages, Microsoft has outlined that certain video codecs would not be able to stream HD content onto Tango phone devices, along with the fast app switching feature, managing of podcast subscriptions, watching video podcasts, using Local Scout and uploading pics to SkyDrive.

It might sound like quite a put off to some, but then again these are phones meant for the developing market who might have otherwise not been able to afford a smartphone. For more information on what’s new in the update, pop on over to Microsoft’s Windows Phone support page.
