The LG Thrill 4G shipped with Android 2.2 Froyo, which was pretty disappointing to a lot of people despite it being released last year. Well, it looks like they won’t have to be disappointed anymore as the update to Gingerbread for the phone has finally arrived. According to reports online, owners of the phone have successfully updated the device to Android 2.3 Gingerbread using the LG Mobile Support Tool for PCs.

While it’s no Ice Cream Sandwich, the update brings a lot of improvements to the Android device. Improved gallery performance, improved video quality, an upgraded UI, improved keyboard, enhanced copy/paste functionality, and a whole lot more. Head over to LG’s website to download the LG Mobile Support Tool. Be sure to let us know how the update goes for you.
