Google patent reveals motion based gestures for controlling your device

Interested in controlling your device merely through gestures? Perhaps a future update of Android could very well let you do that, thanks to a recent patent filed by Google that seems to suggest that gesture control could be in the works. The patent revealed that simply by tapping the front camera, the device can then be controlled through a series of gestures for different actions. This opens up the possibility of launching a variety of apps, commands or tools from the lock screen itself, and given how Apple has had some success with the lock screen patent in Germany, perhaps this might be one way Android could circumvent that patent by implementing a new way of unlocking their devices. It should also be noted that in the filing, Google mentioned that the processors that would make this work are Intel and AMD chips. While Intel has recently started to get their feet wet with Android based smartphones, we have yet to see anything from AMD, perhaps something to look forward to?
