Experimental CyanogenMod 9 build for Epic 4G Touch now available

While Android 4.0 has yet to officially make its way onto the Samsung Galaxy S2, or its US carrier variants, the good folks in the Android community have wasted no time in attempting to port the AOSP ROM onto their devices, and the latest efforts can be seen in the Samsung Epic 4G Touch which has recently received an experimental CyanogenMod 9 build for the device.

The ROMs for the Epic 4G Touch are alphas, which means that usage of it for daily/nightly drivers are probably not recommended and that users should expect a fair share of bugs and whatnot accompanying the ROMs. At the moment there are currently two ROMs available for the Epic 4G Touch, one by darchstar and the other by sbrissen, so head on over to the XDA forums and check out each ROM and read up on what’s working and what’s not before making your decision.

Once again, we cannot stress this enough, but proceed at your own risk! It’s probably also a good idea to do a bit of homework first, especially if this is your first time attempting this.
