Droid 2 Global update rolling out now

Yes, we know that the Motorola Droid 2 Global isn’t exactly the latest device, but we’re sure that there are still some users out there who are still holding on to the device. Well the good news for those guys is that Verizon and Motorola have finally rolled out an update that will put an end to some of those pesky bugs and error messages that Droid 2 Global users have reported.

This includes Out of Memory errors, camera not saving settings, random reboots and they even threw in a Google Security Patch as well. Unfortunately this update is targeted at users who have not yet rooted their Droid 2 Global device, so if you are a rooted user, it should be noted that this update will break root access, so unless you know what you’re doing, we suggest you might want to stay clear from this update for now or pop on over to the RootzWiki forums for more info.

For those who have left their device unrooted or who don’t mind breaking root access, more information on the update and its change log can be found over at Verizon’s website.
