ASUS Transformer TF101 to receive fix for Android 4.0 update problems

A while back, the highly anticipated Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich arrived for the ASUS Transformer TF101, or the original Transformer as some like to call it. While the update might have been highly anticipated, it seems that it arrived with quite a fair bit of bugs. There have been users reporting random reboots, lock ups while rebooting along with a slew of other bugs that might have ruined the Android 4.0 experience.

The good news is that ASUS has acknowledged the issue and has since released a statement claiming that a fix is being worked on, and while no specific date was mentioned, they are hoping to release it some time early next week.

“Thank you to everyone who has given us feedback regarding the ICS TF101 update. We apologise for the issues some users have been experiencing and we’d like to assure you all that we are working on a fix. We don’t have an exact date for release yet but we’re aiming for early next week.

The issues been experienced are down to such a wide variety of reasons that there isn’t one interim solution. We’ve heard of users finding successful solutions through factory resets, wiping rogue apps and deleting/updating widgets though.”
