ASUS plans to become the first brand in non-Apple tablets

As far as Android tablets are concerned, safe to say that ASUS probably has the best streak so far with its ASUS Eee Pad Transformer, followed by its quad-core sibling, the Transformer Prime. Not looking to rest on their laurels, the Taiwanese company has recently come forward with a claim of their goals which is to be the first brand in non-Apple tablets which seems to be what they’re doing now, and hopefully their position would further be cemented by a possible Google Nexus tablet, which according to reports would be built by ASUS. The company also goes on to claim that their Transformer tablets are safe from being copied as they are protected by patents, but given the current patent war between Apple and Android manufacturers, no company is truly “safe” as there will always be tiny details or patent trolls that will pick on them.
