Archos G9 Turbo series now shipping

If you’re a fan of Archos’ Android tablets, and you’re looking for an upgrade, you might be interested in taking a look at the Archos G9 Turbo series of Android tablets. Essentially under the hood they’re the same as its 80 G9 and 101 G9 counterparts, except for the turbo bit which is basically a bump in its processor speed. Both the 80 G9 Turbo and 101 G9 Turbo tablets will now feature a 1.5GHz dual-core OMAP 4 processor under its hood, accompanied by 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, a 720p front-facing camera, a 1024×768 8” display or a 1280×800 10.1” display and will come shipped with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich installed.

The Archos 80 G9 Turbo will retail for $269, while its larger sibling, the Archos 101 G9 Turbo will go for $329. Additional information regarding either tablet can be found at Archos’ website.
