Apple upgrades images on its website to take advantage of the iPad’s Retina display

With Apple’s new iPad launching with a brand new high-resolution Retina display, we can hardly expect Apple not to take advantage of that and milk the heck of it in terms of marketing. Well if you happen to be one of the lucky ones to receive the new iPad come 16th of March, you might be interested in taking the Retina display for a test run at Apple’s very own website. It seems that the company has decided to upgrade the images on their website to that of a higher resolution for both HiDPI screens and the new iPad’s Retina display. As you can see in the screenshot above, the image to the left is of higher resolution while the one on the right is of lower resolution. The sharpness is pretty apparent and we can’t wait to see what other games and apps will make full use of the new Retina display.
