Android 4.0 delayed for US Motorola RAZR owners

Motorola Droid RAZR owners, depending on where you stay, can either rejoice or cry out in frustration. A while back, Motorola decided to out their timetable of Android 4.0 updates for their devices and it listed the RAZR as scheduled to receive the update come Q2 2012. Well the good news is that it looks like international users of the Motorola RAZR can still expect to receive the update in Q2 of 2012, but for those living in the US, you guys are out of luck as the Q2 period will be spent for “evaluation and planning” of the Android 4.0 update.

While no specific reasons were outed for the delay, we’re thinking that the slightly different hardware and not to mention certain hurdles Motorola might have to overcome with the carriers are a plausible explanation for the delay. In any case, hopefully this delay will result in a bug-free Android 4.0 update, so until then, it looks like you guys might want to scour the various Android developer websites to look for possible Android 4.0 ROMs to get your Ice Cream Sandwich fix.
