With quad-core devices being announced at MWC, we guess we can’t say that we’re surprised to learn that ZTE has a quad-core device of their own. This was revealed about a week ago prior to MWC, but we now know its specs and what to expect from it when it is released. The phone is dubbed the ZTE Era and will be seeing a release in the second half of 2012 for European and Chinese markets, but no word on a stateside launch just yet.

The device will sport NVIDIA’s Tegra 3 quad-core processor that has been clocked at 1.3GHz, along with NVIDIA’s Icera 450 HSPA+ modem. It will feature a 4.3” 960×540 display, measure 7.8mm thin and will feature 8G of internal storage that can be expanded on via microSD card, and an 8MP rear-facing camera and will come with NFC support. The ZTE Era will come with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich preinstalled with ZTE’s own custom UI, Mifavor. [Press release]
