Samsung holding event in France 22nd March

We know that Samsung will not be unveiling the Galaxy S3 at MWC 2012, and their reasoning is that they don’t want too huge a gap between its launch and the time the device actually starts shipping, which is why the Galaxy S3 will be seeing a launch at a Samsung event some time in the middle of the year. Interestingly the company has recently started to send out event invites that have been scheduled on the 22nd of March 2012 which is a little less than a month after MWC.

The event will be taking place in France, and it seems that French mobile blogs have started to receive the invite. This could suggest that perhaps only a regional device will be launched as opposed to the Galaxy S3. Either way there’s still that small sliver of hope that Samsung could surprise us all with a Galaxy S3 announcement. For now we suggest that Galaxy S3 hopefuls not get their hopes up just yet, but not to worry as we will keep you guys up to date with more information and news.
