Samsung Galaxy S3 rumored to feature 4.8″ display and a ceramic build

The Samsung Galaxy S3 unfortunately did not make it to MWC 2012, but fret not as the launch of the device is still on and has been confirmed by Samsung themselves. What we are more curious about are its specs, and according to a set of rumors, the Samsung Galaxy S3 is poised to be a pretty interesting phone.

These rumors are courtesy of BGR whose source told them that for starters, the Galaxy S3 will be sporting an 4.8” Full HDdisplay. It will also be 4G LTE compatible and will sport a quad-core processor under its hood. This really isn’t all that surprising given how quad-core devices have started popping up ever since the ASUS Transformer Prime tablet launched.

Most interestingly is that instead of using plastic components to house the parts like they did with its predecessor, the rumors are saying that the entire back portion of the Galaxy S3 will be made out of ceramic instead. Certainly quite a twist to things if they are to be believed! Anyway, take this with a grain of salt for now, but check back with us as we will keep you apprised of the situation.
