With MWC upon us, it looks like Nokia has taken the wraps off several devices which were only mere rumors about a week ago. For Symbian lovers and fans out there, here’s a treat for you in the form of the Nokia 808 PureView, a Nokia Belle smartphone that will be the successor to the Nokia N8, although this time round it has gone and upgraded its camera to a whopping 41MP!

Now fret not as it doesn’t really mean it will consume a whole lot of storage. In fact, the 41MP sensor actually refers to whole the technology will take the neighboring seven pixels and consolidates it into one pixel, effectively giving users an image of about 5MP in size. However users can also opt to record in 8MP or 38MP quality if they choose to.

In terms of hardware, the 808 PureView will sport a 4” ClearBlack AMOLED display, a 1.3GHz single-core processor under its hood with 512MB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage and will sport a microSD card slot for memory expansion. The handset will also see the integration of Dolby’s technology which Nokia claims will be able to reproduce surround sound on a pair of stereo headphones.

The Nokia 808 PureView is expected to retail for 450 EUR (~$604) and will be rolling out in May. So, any takers?
