LG Phoenix finally gets Android 2.3 Gingerbread update

Good news LG Phoenix owners, it looks like your device will finally be getting its long overdue Android 2.3 Gingerbread update. At this point in time, it’s a bit rare to still come across devices running on Android 2.2 Froyo despite Android 2.3 and 4.0 starting to have a stronger presence. Either way we guess the update to at least Gingerbread will be welcome by LG Phoenix owners, assuming they haven’t upgraded their devices yet. Unfortunately this will not be an OTA update, so if you own the LG Phoenix, pop on over to LG’s website for the download link and instructions on how to proceed. Mac users with the Phoenix are out of luck for now as the driver seems to be available only for Windows at the moment. In the mean time, users should make sure to backup whatever important data they have on their phone in case anything goes wrong during the update.
