If the leaks are to be believed, we know that LG has a couple of handsets planned for 2012. One of them is the LG X3, a device rumored to feature a quad-core processor under its hood, and the LG CX2 3D which many believe to be the successor to the LG Optimus 3D Android handset. While we can’t confirm their model numbers for now, two LG devices have shown up in filings belonging to the Universal Plug and Play database. The models in question are the LG-P880 and the LG-P700.

Upon further digging, it was revealed that the P880 features a 1280x720p display resolution, standard in LG’s higher-end Android devices, while the P700 features a 640×480 display, which we’re guessing is unlikely to be the screen resolution for the Optimus 3D’s successor. Either way it’s still too early to tell what’s what just yet, so we’ll leave you with that for now. Hopefully more will be revealed at MWC 2012, so check back with us then for some confirmation of sorts.
