LG Optimus L7 unveiled

For those who prefer their smartphones look sleek and minimalist, then perhaps the LG L-series of Android smartphones might be worth checking out, and sitting atop of that range is the LG Optimus L7.

The handset will be sporting what LG has dubbed a “premium metallic finish”, and will come with a 4.3” display with a 1GHz processor under its hood. It will also come with a 5MP rear-facing camera and will be preloaded with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box.

Interestingly the L-series of handsets will sport what LG is calling a “floating mass display”, which is a display that has been placed closer to the screen thus giving the illusion that it is floating. We’re not sure if LG is trying to achieve some new standard ere, or if it is merely a novelty feature that the company is advertising, so we guess we will have to wait and see how the public reacts to it.

The LG Optimus L7 will be going on sale in Europe in the first half of 2012, but unfortunately there is no word on pricing nor availability stateside, but if you like what you see, check back with us again for more info.
