LG Optimus 3D owners facing “ghost call” issues

While we do not own a LG Optimus 3D device ourselves, it has been brought to our attention that there are quite a number of Optimus 3D users who are reporting that their devices are facing a “ghost call” issue. This issue seems to be affecting those who have updated their devices to Android 2.3 Gingerbread, and based on a post by a user on LG’s Facebook page, it seems that LG is currently looking into the problem. It should be noted that while they are looking into the problem, they have not actually officially acknowledged it.

There are several workarounds, some of which includes downgrading back to Froyo 2.2, or to flash a different ROM, while some have suggested wiping the device several times and using software to force the phone to run at 600MHz. However these solutions have only worked for some, with others claiming the problem persists despite attempting the workarounds.

Are you an LG Optimus 3D owner facing those problems? We’d like to hear from you! In the mean time you can head on over to the XDA forums for more information on the problem as it is currently being discussed.
