Huawei MediaPad to make its way onto AT&T

Tablet shoppers will be pleased to hear that AT&T will be adding yet another tablet to their portfolio in the form of the Huawei MediaPad. This was announced by Huawei themselves who revealed that their tablet will be arriving on AT&T’s network, but unfortunately will not be LTE capable but will instead feature support for 3G/4G HSPA+ connectivity.

The tablet is expected to go on sale on the 3rd of February, but oddly enough AT&T has decided to offer the Huawei MediaPad to enterprise and business accounts, as opposed to the general public. No word if the carrier will offer it to the public at a later date, but for now  it looks like you would be out of luck. Alternatively you could always go for the T-Mobile Springboard which is essentially the same thing.

As far as its specs are concerned, for those who might have forgotten, the Huawei MediaPad is an Android 3.2 Honeycomb powered tablet that sports a 7” 1280x720p IPS display, a 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm processor under its hood with 1GB of RAM, a 5MP rear-facing camera capable of 1080p Full HD video capture, a front-facing camera and will come with support for micro USB, micro HDMI and microSD for memory expansion.
