At MWC yesterday, Huawei finally took the wraps off their new tablet, the MediaPad 10 FHD, which is the successor to the MediaPad that they launched last year, and based on its specs, Huawei might be looking to give ASUS a run for their money as far as quad-core tablets are concerned.

Featuring a 10” IPS 1920×1200 display, the Huawei MediaPad 10 FHD will sport a 1.5GHz quad-core processor using Huawei’s own technology, as opposed to NVIDIA’s Tegra 3 quad-core processor which is currently being favored by many manufacturers. It will feature Dolby surround sound, an 8MP rear-facing camera, a 1.3Mp front-facing camera, 2GB of RAM and will come with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on board.

Interestingly it will also feature HSPA+ 21/42/84Mbps and LTE connectivity, which means that if and when it launches stateside, most of the major carriers should be able to support it. While no price was mentioned, it was revealed that the Huawei MediaPad 10 FHD will be launched globally in Q2 2012.
