HTC Endeavor to be rebranded as HTC One X?

HTC’s upcoming quad-core Android handset seems to be going through some form of identity crisis. When the device first appeared, rumors and leaks had it pegged as the HTC Edge. A fresh set of rumors then popped up which suggested that the device could be renamed to the HTC Endeavor, and now thanks to a Danish URL – htc-one-x.dk, it seems that HTC’s upcoming quad-core phone will be known as the HTC One X, undoubtedly a departure from HTC’s traditional naming schemes.

However given that the HTC Edge/Endeavor/Supreme/One X will be the company’s first handset powered by NVIDIA’s Tegra 3 quad-core processor, and with the company’s commitment to more quality devices in 2012, perhaps the rebranding of the phone along with a new naming scheme could be looked at as the company’s efforts to start from scratch. Either way since none of this can be confirmed yet, do check back with us during MWC 2012, which will be taking place on the 27th of February, for more information and details.
