Gresso unveils Pure Black luxury phone

If design and aesthetics are all that matters to you, you might be interested in checking out Gresso’s latest offering, which is the Pure Black and will be joining the company’s Grand Monaco lineup. For those unfamiliar, Gresso is a company that specializes in creating luxury devices, much like Vertu.

However unlike the original Grand Monaco, the Pure Black will sport an all black design as opposed to a mixture of both silver and black. It will sport round steel buttons on the keypad and will be made from high resistant and light titanium alloy that has been coated with high-tech ceramics layers. Its screen is protected with a 42 carat sapphire glass polished by hand with a diamond tool, and will be available in either crocodile leather or Italian carbon leather.

Like we said earlier, the Gresso Pure Black is pretty much all about the looks. This means that the only hardware that should impress you here is the materials that it has been made from, as opposed to the circuitry running under its hood. The phone will run on Symbian S40, so don’t expect much when it comes to smartphone functionality. So far only 100 units have been made, and if you’d like to pick one up for yourself, expect to fork out a whopping $2,700 for it.
