AT&T’s Samsung Galaxy Note rooted prior to release

Samsung Galaxy Note owners, or would-be owners, good news! If you don’t particularly enjoy Samsung’s TouchWiz UI on the device, or if you’d like to install some custom mods or ROMs, well it seems that the Galaxy Note has been rooted prior to its release. The device has been planned for AT&T’s network, but it looks like the hardworking developers over at the Android community have managed to root the device even before AT&T starts pushing the device into the public’s hands.

This is thanks to XDA forum member, Da_G, who managed to flash the kernel via ODIN. This means that users can now load custom boot animations, init.d and abd root scripts. If you’d like to check out the root method, just pop on over to the XDA forums for more information, but proceed with caution and back up your data first as we cannot be held responsible for voided warranties and bricked devices!
