ASUS Transformer Prime would-be buyers, if you wanted a slightly faster version of the tablet with an even larger resolution, then you will be pleased to hear that ASUS has announced the Transformer Pad Infinity, whose specs are pretty much the same as the original Transformer Prime, but will sport a slightly faster clocked processor, LTE connectivity and a larger display resolution.

The tablet will come with NVIDIA’s Tegra 3 quad-core processor clocked at 1.6GHz, but the LTE version of the tablet will be using Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S4 processor clocked at 1.5GHz. It will also sport a 10.1” display, but instead of the 1280×800 display found on the Transformer Prime, the Transformer Pad Infinity will feature a 1920×1200 display instead. Possibly due to the faster processor and the newer display, the Transformer Pad Infinity will come with a larger battery.

No word on pricing or availability just yet, but we expect more information to be made available over the next couple of months, so stay tuned!
