Shoppers on a budget looking to buy a new Android tablet might want to consider the Archos Arnova 9 G2 tablet. The device was introduced a few months ago, but it looks like if you wanted to get your hands on it, the tablet is now available for purchase via several retailers in the US.

As far as its specs are concerned, the Arnova 9 G2 tablet will feature a 9.7” 1024×768 display, an ARM Cortex-A8 1GHz processor with 4GB of internal storage, a microSDHC card slot for memory expansion and will sport a battery life of 6 hours while watching videos. It will also run on Android 2.3 Gingerbread and unfortunately will not come with support for Google’s Android Market, but will instead provide access to the AppsLib app market.

At the moment PC Richard & Son is selling the tablet for $229.99, while B&H is selling it for a slightly higher price at $249.99.
