Ever since Siri was announced, there has been a flurry of apps that started popping out that claims to do what Siri does, but better. Well one such app is called Evi which was developed by a Cambridge company, and according to reports it does what Siri does in terms of functionality. However according to its developer, it seems that Apple has contacted them and told them that the app will be removed under condition 8.3 of the App Store’s T&C, which is the ban of apps that appear confusingly similar to Apple’s products. Is Apple truly concerned about users being confused between Siri and Evi, or are they simply jealous according to reports, who claims that Evi does what Siri does, but better? We haven’t really had a chance to try it out for ourselves yet, so if any of our readers have, let us know what you think!
