Alleged iPad 3 rear housing leaked

Apple’s upcoming iPad 3 is rumored to see a launch in March, and it would seem that production of the tablet is already in full swing thanks to what appears to be leaked photos of the tablet’s rear housing. Thanks to Fix-iPhones’ RepairLabs, it would seem that the leaked photos suggest that the iPad 3 could feature a smaller logic board, which in turn will allow for a larger battery.

This larger battery which providing extra life to the tablet could also be used to compensate for the use of 4G LTE, a feature known to be a battery drainer, along with the powering of the iPad 3’s rumored new display. It has also been noted that this rear housing is not noticeably thicker which seems to go against earlier rumors that suggested a thicker iPad 3.

Could this really be the iPad 3’s rear housing? Well Apple has been known to create multiple prototypes of devices before, so for all we know we could be looking at another prototype iPad rear housing. Either way we suggest taking this with a grain of salt for now, and if Apple’s announcement of the iPad 3 is set for March like we hope, we won’t have to wait too long for official confirmation.
