Sony Xperia S to arrive in March?

So we know that Sony plans to eventually drop the Ericsson moniker and start releasing Sony specific handsets. Their first “Sony” phone appears to be the Xperia S which was unveiled during CES, and if online retailer Clove is right, it seems that the Xperia S will be arriving some time in March as far as the UK market is concerned.

According to Clove, they have priced the device at £468 (~$716) unlocked. They also expect the first batch of Xperia S smartphones to start shipping in the first week of March, so we guess we have about two months to see if their predictions come true. For those who might have forgotten or weren’t around for CES, the Sony Xperia S will feature a dual-core 1.5GHz processor, a 4.3” 1280×720 “Reality Display” with “Mobile Bravia Engine”, a 12MP Exmor R photo sensor and PlayStation certification.

It also appears that the device will not come shipped with Android 4.0 on board, but the good news is that Sony has announced that the phone will be upgradable to Android 4.0 sometime during Q2.
