So we know that the majority of Android users are looking forward to the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S III, but while the device has yet to be officially revealed/announced, Samsung has decided to announce the Galaxy S Advanced, a mid-ranged Android smartphone that we’re guessing (and hoping) will not be breaking any wallets while offering some decent mid-ranged hardware specifications.

The Samsung Galaxy S Advanced will feature a 4″ 480×800 Super AMOLED display, a 1GHz dual-core processor with 768MB of RAM under the hood, 8/16GB of internal storage, microSD card slot for memory expansion, a 5MP rear-facing camera, a 1.3MP front-facing camera and will run on Android 2.3 Gingerbread with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI on top. No word if Samsung will be bumping the Galaxy S Advanced to Android 4.0 in the future. Samsung has yet to reveal how much or when the Galaxy S Advanced will be launched, so if the device has managed to catch your eye, stay tuned as we expect more information to be revealed over time, and possibly during MWC 2012.
