Motorola Defy Mini makes its way through the FCC

Looking for a budget Android smartphone? If you are you could be interested to know that the Motorola Defy Mini has recently made its way through the FCC today. The device was spotted with GSM bands 850 and 1900, WCDMA bands II and V which seems to imply that if and when it does arrive for the US market, AT&T would most likely be the carrier to offer up the device for purchase.

In terms of specs, do not expect a monster like the Droid RAZR, in fact given its unlocked price of $225 in the UK, you really do get what you pay for in this case. The Motorola Defy Mini is expected to feature a 600MHz processor, 512MB of RAM, a 3MP rear-facing camera, a 0.3MP front-facing camera, a 3.2” touch screen display and will run on Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Not the most spectacular of Android smartphones in today’s market, but it should be enough to get the job done – we hope.

It should be noted that Motorola has recently revealed that they plan to focus on high-end smartphones for the US market, so there is a good chance that the Defy Mini may not even hit our shelves, but either way we’ll definitely keep our eyes peeled for this one!
