Verizon subscribers, if you’re in the market for a new high-end smartphone, Verizon and LG may have the solution for you in the form of the LG Spectrum. As with most of Verizon’s higher end Android devices, customers can expect to fork out $199 for the device on a new two-year contract with the carrier, so what exactly will you be getting for your money’s worth?

Well, users can expect to look forward to a 4.5” 720p 1280×720 IPS display, a dual-core Snapdragon S3 processor that has been clocked at 1.5GHz, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, an 8MP camera capable of 1080p Full HD video recording, a 720p capable front-facing camera, Bluetooth 3.0, a 1,830mAh battery and will run on Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

Unfortunately no word from LG/Verizon if the LG Spectrum will see an update to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, but given that the device is probably one of LG’s more powerful and high-end devices, we wouldn’t be surprised if the Android 4.0 update rolled out to the handset in the near future. Head on down to Verizon’s page for more information.
