HTC EVO 3D can be made to run Windows 95/98/XP and Linux

Ever wondered what it would be like to run Windows or Linux on your smartphone? Well if you have any interest in doing so, you might want to check out a new method by a XDA forum member that apparently would allow you to boot Windows 95/98/XP and Linux onto your HTC EVO 3D Android smartphone!

Supposedly this is a relatively easy (and hopefully painless) process. It seems to involve the downloading of certain software, modify a file or two and run the APK, wait for the boot and you’ll be good to go! Your HTC EVO 3D’s touch screen display will double up as the trackpad, while the volume rocker buttons will act as left/right mouse clicks, and etc.

If this sounds like fun and you wouldn’t mind trying it out for yourself, you will be able to find the relevant links, downloads, instructions and more information at the XDA forums, but once again we advise that you should proceed with caution and that you may want to backup your device before attempting this.
