Remember the rumored/leaked HTC Edge Android smartphone? Well, according to various sources, it seems like the device has undergone a codename change from the Edge to the Endeavor. We’re not sure what prompted the name change, but for those on the lookout for news/rumors surrounding the device, perhaps the Endeavor moniker might be the new search phrase you may want to use.

For those who are unfamiliar with the HTC Edge/Endeavor, rumor has it that it will be the company’s first quad-core Android handset powered by NVIDIA’s Tegra 3 processor. It will also feature what’s been dubbed a “optically-laminated” 720p display and is expected to roll out on a global scale come early spring under the HTC Supreme retail name.

So far a leaked rendering of the device has surfaced (as pictured above) along with rumored specs, although assuming the device is for real, there is a good chance that the HTC Edge/Endeavor will be seeing an unveiling come MWC 2012 which will be held in February in Barcelona.
