BRICK concept phone features a transparent display

Concept phones are cool as you never know what sort of whacky and creative ideas these designers come up with. Well if you’re into minimalist and futuristic, the BRICK concept phone by designers Shaocheng Huang and Yuyin Huang might be a concept phone worth taking a second look at.

As you might as surmised from the photo above, the BRICK concept phone features a transparent display which apparently can be used for a variety of features. This includes doubling up as a magnifier, text translation (by holding it over the text), video and still photography, it could even act as a projector and etc. Given that it’s a concept phone, we guess its features are entirely up to its designers. It does appear to be very sleek and to be honest it is a design one might be able to expect from Apple despite the Fujitsu branding.

What do you guys think? If such a phone existed would you like to get your hands on it? Or might you be too worried about scratching the transparent display thus leaving ugly blemishes that could affect the user experience? In the mean time check out the video below for more concept shots of the BRICK phone.
