Remember the ASUS Padfone? The device was unveiled last year but has yet to see a launch, but for those still interested in the device, it seems that according to reports, ASUS will be launching the device at MWC 2012 with updated specs. According to the rumors, the ASUS Padfone will not only be seeing an update to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, but rumor has it that it will also be sporting NVIDIA’s Tegra 3 quad-core processor, a bit odd given that the phone portion of the device will be powered by Qualcomm’s processor.

On top of that, it has also been said that the tablet portion of the Padfone will be able to utilize the dock from the original ASUS Eee Pad Transformer, so if you have an ASUS Transformer lying around unused, it looks like it might have gotten a new lease on life/usefulness. Either way we can’t confirm these rumors for now, but if you’d like to check back with us during MWC 2012 which will take place on the 27th of February, hopefully we will be able to report back with some official confirmation of sorts.
