16GB Motorola Droid RAZR available for $199, microSD card not pre-loaded

If the original price of Verizon’s Motorola Droid RAZR was a bit too dear for your wallets, the good news is that Verizon has decided to slash the price down $100. What this means is that you will be able to pick up a 16GB version of the Motorola Droid RAZR on contract for only $199. So what’s different, and why the price slash, you ask?

Well it seems that Verizon in an effort to price the upcoming Droid RAZR MAXX (the Droid RAZR with a larger battery) at $299, has resulted in the carrier pricing the original Droid RAZR at a more affordable price. Unfortunately this means that the original Droid RAZR will not come pre-loaded with a microSD card.

This may or may not matter depending on the user. For those who already have pre-existing microSD cards, this will hardly make a difference, but for those who don’t, we’re sure you will be able to pick one up from an electronics store for less than $100. If this sounds like a good deal to you, you will be able to get your hands on the black version of the Droid RAZR today while the white and purple versions of the device are expected to be made available come 23rd January.
