Untethered iOS 5.0.1 jailbreak now available for non-iPhone 4S/iPad 2 devices

Good news non-iPhone 4S and non-iPad 2owners, if you are running on iOS 5.0.1, it appears that the untethered jailbreak for your devices is now available thanks to pod2g. The untethered iOS 5.0.1 jailbreak was released through the iPhone Dev Team and Chronic Dev Team and will basically work on the iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod touch 3G and 4G and the iPad 1.

Not to fret though as pod2g is still working on a way for an untethered jailbreak for all you guys out there with the iPhone 4S and/or the iPad 2, but in the mean time if you own either of the devices mentioned above, you will be able to find the untethered jailbreak from either the iPhone Dev Team or the Chronic Dev Team. Once again it should probably be noted that all of this is done at your own risk, so unless you know what you’re doing or are feeling particularly confident, you should probably do a bit of research first before attempting the jailbreak.
