Looking forward to 2012’s tablet offerings? Well the ASUS Transformer Prime sure ended 2011 with a big bang and it seems that Samsung may have something just as juicy for us come MWC 2012. According to BGR’s sources, Samsung is prepped to reveal an 11.6” tablet at MWC 2012 that will run on Android’s Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.

Despite it being 1.5” larger than the Galaxy Tab 10.1, the source is claiming that it will not be noticeably larger due to the fact that the tablet will feature a thinner bezel which should give the illusion that it is “smaller”. The source also claims that this tablet will feature a whopping display resolution at 2560×1600 packed into an 11.6” screen with a 16:10 aspect ratio.

Other hardware specifications include a 2GHz dual-core Samsung Exynos 5250 CPU, which is reportedly similar to that of Apple’s upcoming A6 processor. It will also come with a wireless docking mode for gaming and is said to be looking to compete with Apple TV, AirPlay and more. Naturally Samsung had no comment regarding this matter, but this does sound like one heck of a tablet! Assuming that this is all true, MWC 2012 will prove to be a rather exciting event. Until then we suggest taking this piece of news with a grain of salt for now.
