A few weeks back we reported that the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 was spotted at the FCC, and now it seems that a source has told oled-display.net that Samsung could be getting closer to actually launching the device. For those who don’t remember, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 is a tablet that Samsung unveiled during IFA 2011. It would also be the first tablet to sport a Super AMOLED display which undoubtedly makes it a rather desirable tablet to own.

Unfortunately that’s pretty much all the source revealed. No specific dates or even a time frame was given, but it’s good to know that Samsung does have plans to eventually release this tablet stateside. With a 7.7” 1280×800 Super AMOLED display, a dual-core 1.4GHz processor, HSPA+ and 4G LTE connectivity options, we’re guessing that there are many out there who wouldn’t mind getting their hands on it.
