Huawei Mercury arrives on Cricket

Subscribers of Cricket will be pleased to know that another Android device has been added to the carrier’s portfolio in the form of the Huawei Mercury. The phone will be available for $250 at select retailers on Cricket’s $55 per month plan. So what will you be getting for your money?

For starters, the Huawei Mercury will feature a 1.4GHz single-core processor. It will sport a 4” FWVGA (854×480) display with 2GB of internal memory along with an 8MP rear-facing camera, a VGA front-facing camera and appears to run on Android, although which version of Android remains unclear, but apparently it supports Google’s full range of mobile apps. Not the most impressive of phones but it should be good enough for those looking to send emails and do some web surfing while on the go.
