Huawei Honor receives “demo” Android 4.0 ROM

Good news if you own the Huawei Honor as it appears that the company has deemed it appropriate to release an official Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 ROM for the handset. They’re calling it a “demo” which seems to suggest that it has a few things the company has yet to iron out. It could also explain why the company also gave instructions to users on how to roll back to Gingerbread should they feel that the “demo” is a bit too unstable for their liking.

Given how the Xiaomi phone has the Android 4.0 update in the works and with Huawei releasing a “demo” of their upcoming update, it would appear as though these slightly lesser-known companies are beating the major manufacturers to the punch. No word on when this update will officially roll out, but if you own the Huawei Honor and you’re curious to see how Android 4.0 will run on your device, head on down to Huawei’s website where you will be able to download the ROM and the accompanying instructions.
