HTC Flyer receives Honeycomb update

Published

With companies promising to roll out Android 4.0 updates to their devices, it looks like HTC will be pushing out an update of a different kind for the GSM version of their HTC Flyer tablet. After months of being released and running only on Gingerbread 2.3, the good news is that the company has finally released Honeycomb for the tablet. The update is expected to bring about several improvements as well as an updated HTC Sense UI.

If you happen to own the HTC Flyer you might want to check to see if you have been notified of the update already, if not be patient as we’re sure that HTC will eventually get around to you. However with the somewhat late-ish release of Honeycomb for the HTC Flyer, we have to wonder how long HTC will take before releasing Android 4.0 for the tablet, assuming that they do of course, so for now HTC Flyer owners will have to contend with Honeycomb.
