Google Wallet can be installed on the Galaxy Nexus hack-free

Many had expected Google Wallet to make its way onto the Galaxy Nexus, after all it was a Nexus device so it wasn’t completely unreasonable to expect Google’s products and services to come installed, right? Unfortunately Galaxy Nexus owners will attest to the fact that the Google Wallet mobile payment feature is not on the phone, but the good news is that there is a way to get it.

Previous methods of getting the Google Wallet feature on your phone would require a rooted device, but thanks to lukegb at XDA Developers, you will not need a rooted device for this method to work. All you’d have to do is download the APK and you’re good to go!

Of course this is somewhat questionable in nature. If you remember, Google and MasterCard were offering $10 free credit, so since this isn’t an official install, we guess it is tantamount to theft. If such ethical or moral dilemmas don’t phase you, head on down to the XDA Developers’ forums for the download link and instructions.
