ASUS Transformer Prime gets rooted

Published

on

The ASUS Transformer Prime has yet to be officially released, but it seems that Phil Nickinson from Android Central took the review unit that he was given and managed to root it. He used the Razorclaw rooting app that worked on the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer and the Eee Pad Slider which might explain why he thought that it would work with the Transformer Prime.

The good news is that it paid off which means that when the tablet finally arrives in your hands and you’re looking to load up some custom ROMs and what not, the good news is that the tablet is rootable. The tablet is scheduled to hit Taiwan first on the 1st of December, with the US marketed aimed for a 18th/19th December release while those in Europe will only see it in January of 2012.
