Apple’s next-generation iPhone could be completely redesigned

Wondering what the new iPhone will look like? Well, according to BGR’s sources, it seems that the next-generation iPhone is expected to be made out of aluminum and with rubber/plastic material that is similar to that of the iPhone 4’s bumper cases. The rubber/plastic components are expected to frame the device, much like the iPhone 3GS design with the chrome bezel and will also serve to cover the new antenna design that surrounds this device.

Ultimately this would allow the company to create the back plate of their next-generation iPhone out of aluminum without worrying about the metal interfering with the antenna’s strength. Of course since we can’t really confirm this, do take it with a grain of salt for now and wait for the actual release, which assuming will see a launch the same time as the iPhone 4S if Apple keeps to their schedule.
