Android 4.0 rolling out to Nexus S now

Published

Good news Samsung Nexus S owners, remember when Google promised that they would be releasing Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich for the Nexus S after the Galaxy Nexus was released? Well, true to their word, and before the year is out, it looks like the Android 4.0 update for the Nexus S is now live.

As with most updates it will be rolled out in stages and will hit GSM Nexus S devices first (i.e AT&T and T-Mobile). What this means is that you might have to be a bit patient before it’s your turn to receive the update, and the same goes for Nexus S owners on Sprint’s network. However it appears that the manual update file is available for T-Mobile Nexus S owners, so if you think that you can’t wait for the update to roll out to your phone, you can find the download link here.

If you’re not sure how to proceed, we suggest you wait your turn for the OTA update, but if you know what you’re doing or if you’re feeling particularly brave, proceed at your own risk!
