Android 4.0 for Xiaomi phone in the works

Good news for those who live in China or who have managed to get their hands on the Xiaomi phone, the rival to the Meizu MX Android phone. It seems like the company has been pretty efficient in their attempts at pushing out what appears to be Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 for the handset, thus possibly beating out other major manufacturers like Samsung, LG, Motorola, HTC and Sony Ericsson to the punch.

The company is still working on the update by customizing its UI which they said will be called MIUI V4. Pretty efficient if we may say so ourselves, but either way if you happen to own the Xiaomi phone, check out the video below to see Android 4.0 demonstrated on the device. No word on when the company will release the update, but after watching the video, it does not look like they’re too far behind.
