If you were planning on picking up Acer’s Iconia Tab A200, the good news is that Acer has officially launched the tablet. No word on pricing or which markets it will be shipped to, but at least we know it’s out there, right? So what can we expect from the Iconia Tab A200?

Well for starters it will run on NVIDIA’s Tegra 2 dual-core processor that has been clocked at 1GHz and will feature 1GB of RAM. It will come in storage sizes of either 8GB or 16GB, a screen resolution of 1280×800 and will come shipped with Android’s Honeycomb 3.x. The good news is that Acer has plans to update it to Android 4.0 but that will come in January of 2012 which to be honest isn’t that long of a wait.

Given its specs we don’t expect the Iconia Tab A200 to be overly expensive, so if you are looking for an Android 4.0 compatible tablet that won’t break the bank, you might want to keep an eye out for the Acer Iconia Tab A200 when it arrives.
