We wouldn’t say no to a Google Nexus tablet

Google has been commissioning Android smartphones in the form of the Nexus series. We had the Nexus One, Nexus S and recently the Galaxy Nexus, but it has occurred to us that Google has yet to commission a Nexus tablet. We’re not sure why Google is steering clear of Nexus tablets, but a recently surfaced rendering has us hoping that a Nexus tablet is a possibility in the not too distant future.

As you can see in the rendering above, we are looking at the Galaxy Nexus along with an unknown tablet in the back. They both appear to be running on Android’s Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0, and by all accounts this appears to be most likely fan made, but what do you guys think? Will a Nexus tablet be something worth considering?
