T-Mobile’s Samsung Galaxy S2 may have some display issues

Published

on

We know that T-Mobile’s Samsung Galaxy S2 is different from the others on AT&T and Sprint. This difference is namely in its processor, which uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor as opposed to Samsung’s own Exynos. However it appears that this is not the only difference as there are an increasing number of reports on forums that seems to suggest there is an issue with the display.

As you can see above, there is a difference between T-Mobile’s Samsung Galaxy S2 and Sprint’s version, with the latter reproducing a brighter, and more vivid white. The complaints in the forums are pointing out issues such as disparities between contrast levels and color reproduction, with odd artifacts such as blobs and lines appearing when the brightness has been set to the max in a dark room setting.

For the less discerning user, this might have totally passed them by without noticing, but for those who are really particular about their displays may want to take a look at this issue first before jumping the gun and making their purchase. For more information on the problem or if you want to add to the list of complaints, head on down to the XDA forums.
